About Us

Tony Barlett, has been promoted to the Channel Manager role for Sumitomo Machinery Corporation of America (SMA) effective July 12, 2010. His primary responsibilities relate to the enhancement and growth of SMA business activities with our sales channels. He will report to Matthew Roberson, VP of Sales.

Tony joined Sumitomo in 2006 as a Corporate Sales Associate after graduating the University of Georgia. He worked in the Chesapeake facility before transferring out to Charleston, SC as a Southeast District Sales Manager. Tony doubled his sales territory in two years and has also found time to earn his MBA at the Citadel, graduating with Magna Cum Laude.

Tony consistently exhibits his professional reputation for providing the focus and direction to sales relationships that drives SMA business growth. In his new role, he will be responsible for the growth and continuous improvements to the sales channel business flow.
